Although sometimes it’s easier said than done, try not to compare your big day to your other friends/ family member’s weddings! Pinterest (and the internet in general) is a wonderful platform to gain unique ideas for your ceremony. However, you can easily feel overwhelmed and the need to be bigger and better than everyone else! Be true to yourselves and remember what is important; celebrating with your loved ones!
Develop a strong relationship with your vendors.
Nothing is worse than working with unreliable people! Do your research and ask around. Work with vendors you know you can fully trust and depend upon. Developing a good relationship will ensure that your vision will be brought to life; YOUR way! Your vendors play an essential role on your big day! This includes your photographer, videographer, florist, DJ (the list goes on and on…).
Don’t play dress up.
Although we all want to achieve being as”trendy” as possible these days, sometimes it can backfire. You want to feel beautiful, and above all COMFORTABLE, on the day of your wedding. Your gown should reflect your own personal style and what makes you feel the most like you. Sometimes when you think too “outside of the box,” it can tend to feel like you’re wearing a costume! This includes hair and makeup as well!
Be surrounded by those you love.
It’s really important to invite people you genuinely care about to your wedding. Of course your parents are going to invite their closest friends to your wedding, or you’re going to feel obligated inviting that distant relative or that friend you went to school with but haven’t spoken to in two years. Try to keep the guest list down to those you want to attend such an intimate celebration!
Most importantly, be in the moment and enjoy every second of the day! Stop and take a moment to reflect on how wonderful your wedding day has been and how exciting this next chapter of life will be!

“I’m so happy that I went to La Belle Mariee! It was worth the 90 minute drive! When I walked in, I just knew it was the place where I was going to find my dress. It is such a beautiful, classy store – it’s so different from the other two stores I visited. There were so many dresses I loved, and am so thankful that Rachel took the time to help me sort out my thoughts, preferences, and really focus on what looked best, and felt right. I feel so special to have been a La Belle Mariee bride! 🙂 ” -Carrie
